Two women ignored my pain

I was having a pelvic ultrasound because my doctor thought one of my ovaries felt bigger than the other. I've had a pelvic ultrasound before so I know they don't have to be traumatic. 1) the technician was a trainee, and had another tech with her to guide her, 2) they jammed the machinery right into my right leg so I couldn’t spread my legs properly, then kept telling me to spread my legs more resulting in me having pain in my left hip, 3) the probe hurt, 4) it took so long because she was so inexperienced that my back started spasming (I have Spondylolisthesis), 5) my feet weren’t properly in the stirrups so they were digging into my feet. 6) There was an evangelical Christian radio station playing in the background which I personally find offensive. I verbalized all my pain and they totally ignored me. I gasped and grimaced in pain several times and they ignored me. Compassion should not have to be taught, especially at for the health "care" industry!!

Techs do not practice cleanliness

My chair has not been wiped down before my treatment. The reason I know is the patient before me was weighing himself when I went to my chair. The chair was not wet like it usually is. Another time there was a coffee ring on the tray. I have seen a tech named Farrah pick up tape that she dropped on the floor and use it on a patient. She also sits by her patient for a long time talking instead of working. She is very lazy

Inconsistent. Lack of empathy and support.

I've been on dialysis for two years. An allergic reaction to a medication put me in kidney failure. The first eighteen months was wonderful. I knew all the staff and had good relations with them all. Six months ago the entire staff was changed except for one nurse and one tech. They also changed my chair time from 5:45 am to 6:30 am. I have complained and requested an earlier time but I am still waiting six months later. I have previously scheduled appointments at 10:30. Therefore, I am almost always forced to end my time prematurely. The staff changes all the time. I never know who is working so I don't know most of their names since I have little, and sporadic, interaction with them. One saving grace is that my tech is wonderful and she's been there throughout my two years. Unfortunately, her schedule has changed so I don't have her every time I go. The lack of consistency and compassion is disturbing. Also, there is no receptionist or Social Worker anymore. I guess they didn't like the changes either.

Even Employees Get Treated Like Crap

My manager first tried to transfer me to a clinic I could not get to (she knew i rode the bus) because i violated company policy by taking a patient home....a patient that i have known for over 25 years...that my family has been friends with for 25 years. then she actually terminated me because i chose not to use one of my two FMLA days and opted to just take the day off and use PTO (i have a heart condition). AND NOW she tells any employer who calls for a rereral that I had bad attendance and i violated policy. Instead of being able to find a job in the medical field making decent pay i am stuck in a minimum wage job with no benefits!

I live in Ponte Vedra Fl and have mostly outstanding experiences with my center. Very professional and caring. The center is off of Beach and San Pablo and is open Mon-Wen and Fri. Sorry to hear about all the negative reports, you all deserve to be treated as well as they treat us at my center

NOTHING PREMIER ABOUT THIS COMPANY

My poor husband has a neck port. Several times he has come home adter Davita dialysis, and their dressings have fallen off leaving it exposed. Right now he has a seriously high white cell count (found by his regular doctor, since Davita doesn't test for white cell count) and now he has to find out where the infection is. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if their shoddy care isn't the cause of his massive infection. His assigned chair has a huge "hole" in the middle of the seat, causing him great discomfort- even laying on a pillow. Some of the techs there are downright nasty and make it known that they don't care about their job or patients. They have one nurse hooking and unhooking several patients and they do it all at one time, leaving my husband waiting lengthy periods of time to get hooked up and unhooked- I work for a living and have been late for work several times when he was very late getting hooked up and then unhooked, because they've opted to go cheap and leave one person in charge of it. I could go on and on about all of the things I've seen there but there isn't enough time or room....What a horrible company~

The Davita fails patients

The staff at this davita cares nothing for patient privacy and is always talking about personal issues openly across the room. You can also tell who the patients are that they like because they give hugs and kisses and others they try to completely ignore even if it is an important health issue. Also the initial vitals are rarely taken by the nurses. Who knows where they get their numbers from. If I had another facility to go to I would. I don't want to be around when they kill someone from ignoring their needs.

Staff need more training

Extremely poor follow through by staff in charge of insurance assitence. When a mistake is made, it is not uncommon to be lied to instead of standing up and admitting you were human and made a mistake. Lack of listening skills of some nurses. Poor time management. Scheduled start time is a joke. It is the rare occasion that you actually start on time. There are only a few nurses/techs who are any good.

Complaint

There is more than one complaint about your facility in Hamilton, Ohio on the west side . My husband has been a patient there for many years. He, and the others there are there for LIFE SAVING treatment. The workers there are rude and uncaring. When I called at one time with a concern about my husband the woman I spoke to was beyond rude, sa ying, "listen, we do DIALYSIS here and that is it," at which point she hung up on me! There is no help from them for any concern no matter how large or small. and I can see how some questions, to them, seems small, but they cannot take a moment to reassure me of that fact instead of the rude way I am treated. And,no, I was not calling them all the time I do not call them at all anymore. I could go on and on, but will stop here by saying God help the workers there and your company as a whole should anything happen to my husband while in their care.

Be prepared to be misdiagnosed and or reprimanded

If you cut yourself and need stitches go to Davita at Roundhouse in Colorado Springs, they will sew you up nicely and with kindness and then afterward they will improperly bill you. If you are sick and unable to correctly diagnose yourself they will, but it will most likely not be correct and come with unnecessary tests and prescriptions. That's the short and not so sweet about it! If Staff includes URGI care doctors then the rating plummets.

No nurse—2nd time in a week

Davita on Webb RD Wichita KS. We are still waiting outside as no nurse showed up for our treatments. This is the second time in a week. DAVITA what seems to be the problem getting nurses? Working conditions? Pay scale? Management? You will here from me!!!!!

Professionalism

On June 24, 2019 my blood pressure dropped and I told the new tech to turn the machine off and I didnt want any saline.The RN (Candy) came over and the tech explained what had occurred and she told her about me not wanting saline. The RN said in front if us both "then let her suffer." That is not acceptable, Ive been a patient for 8 years, shes only been there for a short time. I communicated this to the FA but I decided to go higher! Not very professional at ALL!
